THERE’S A GOD THAT SAYS YES

Introduction:

In our journey of faith, we often encounter moments of doubt and uncertainty. However, the Bible reassures us that there is a God who listens and responds to our prayers. In Luke 8:46-48, we see a powerful example of Jesus acknowledging and affirming the faith of a woman who reached out to Him in desperation. This passage, along with other scriptures, reminds us that God is always ready to say “Yes” to those who seek Him earnestly.

 In Luke 8:46-48, we read:

“But Jesus said, ‘Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.’ Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. Then he said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.’”

This passage highlights the importance of faith and the willingness of God to respond to our needs. The woman’s faith led her to reach out to Jesus, and His response was a resounding “Yes” to her healing.

Other scriptures that reinforce this message include:

• Matthew 7:7-8: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
• 2 Corinthians 1:20: “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.”

These verses remind us that God’s promises are always fulfilled in Christ, and He is faithful to answer our prayers according to His will.
