**He is God by Himself**
God’s sovereignty and omnipotence are evident throughout the Bible. One powerful story that highlights His unmatched power is the healing of the man at the Pool of Bethesda. This narrative reminds us that God doesn’t need anyone’s permission or assistance to perform miracles. He is God by Himself.
**Biblical Reference: John 5:1-9**
In John 5:1-9, we read about a man who had been an invalid for 38 years, lying by the Pool of Bethesda, hoping to be healed. Jesus approached him and asked, “Do you want to get well?” Without waiting for an answer, Jesus simply said, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” Instantly, the man was healed. This miracle illustrates that God’s power is not limited by human conditions or limitations. He acts according to His will and purpose.

1. **God’s Sovereignty (Isaiah 46:9-10):** “Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’” God declares His unique position as the sovereign ruler over all.
