There is No Blessing Without Contention
In life, blessings often come through trials and challenges. The Bible reminds us that before we receive our blessings, there will be moments of contention. Jacob wrestled with God before receiving his new name, Israel, and his blessing (Genesis 32:24-28). Similarly, the Israelites faced battles before entering the Promised Land (Joshua 6).
Even Jesus Christ, before His resurrection and victory over death, endured the agony of the cross (Luke 22:42-44). These examples show us that contention is often the pathway to breakthrough.
If you’re facing battles today, be encouraged! Know that the struggle you face is often the precursor to a greater blessing. Stay steadfast in faith and hold onto Godβs promises. Your blessing is on the way.
