Praying From an Advantageous Position

In Romans 12:12, the Bible encourages us to *“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”* This shows that prayer is not just a plea for help, but a powerful tool for positioning ourselves in alignment with God’s will. When we pray from a place of faith, trust, and hope, we pray from an advantageous position because we know that God is already in control of every situation.

Praying from an advantageous position means praying from the knowledge that we are more than conquerors through Christ (Romans 8:37). It’s knowing that the battle is not ours, but God’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). When we pray, we can approach God boldly, knowing that He hears and answers us. Hebrews 4:16 tells us to *“come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”*

As believers, we are already seated in heavenly places with Christ (Ephesians 2:6), giving us the authority and privilege to pray from victory, not defeat. We don’t pray as those who are powerless, but as children of the Almighty God who holds the universe in His hands.
