TRUSTING GOD’S RESPONSE

 Trusting God’s Response

When we bring our requests to God, it’s important to trust that He hears us and will respond in the best possible way. Trusting God’s response requires faith, patience, and the assurance that His plans are always perfect. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

In the story of Lazarus, Jesus delayed his visit after hearing of Lazarus’s illness, but this delay was not a denial. In John 11:4, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” When Jesus finally arrived, Lazarus had been dead for four days, but Jesus raised him from the dead, demonstrating God’s perfect timing and purpose.

Just like Mary and Martha, we might feel anxious when God seems silent or when His response doesn’t align with our expectations. But in those moments, we must hold on to our faith and trust that God’s timing and methods are far greater than ours.

The Bible also assures us in Romans 8:28 that “in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” This means that even when the answer is delayed or looks different from what we expected, God is still working it out for our good.

Call to Action:

Whatever you’re praying for today, trust that God has heard you. Do not waver in your faith or negate your prayers with doubt. Instead, stand firm, believe, and wait on the Lord. His response will always be in your best interest, even if it doesn’t look like what you imagined.

Prayer Point:

Heavenly Father, help me to trust Your timing and Your ways. Strengthen my faith so that I may not waver in doubt, but hold firmly to Your promises. Let Your peace fill my heart as I wait on Your perfect response. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
