**Better Than Yesterday**

In the fast-paced world we live in, it’s easy to get caught up in the challenges and ambitions of today, forgetting to look back and appreciate how far God has brought us. Often, we overlook the progress and blessings in our lives, focusing instead on what we have yet to achieve. However, the Bible reminds us of the importance of gratitude and reflection on God’s continuous work in our lives.

Lamentations 3:22-23 says, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” This passage reminds us that each day is a fresh testament to God’s enduring love and faithfulness. Each new day is better than the last because God’s mercies are renewed daily.

In Deuteronomy 8:2, we are reminded to reflect on God’s past faithfulness: “Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years.” Looking back helps us appreciate the journey and acknowledge God’s hand in every step we’ve taken.

Philippians 3:13-14 also speaks to the forward momentum in our faith journey: “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” While it’s important to press forward, this should be done with a heart of gratitude for how God has transformed our yesterdays into better todays.

**Call to Action:**

Take time today to reflect on where you were a year ago, or even a month ago, and recognize the progress you’ve made by God’s grace. Write down at least three ways your life is better today than it was yesterday. Share your reflections with someone to encourage them.

**Prayer Point:**

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your continuous work in our lives. Help us to recognize and appreciate the progress we have made through Your grace. Teach us to reflect on our journey with gratitude, knowing that each day with You is better than the last. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
