DON’T WORRY HE KNOWS WHAT YOU NEED

Don’t Worry, He Knows What You Need

In our lives filled with constant hustle and ever-growing lists of needs and wants, it’s easy to fall into the trap of worry and anxiety. Yet, in the heart of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus offers a profound reassurance that cuts through our daily concerns like a beacon of hope. In Matthew 6:31-33, He tells us, “So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

This passage is a gentle yet powerful reminder that our Heavenly Father is intimately aware of our needs. It encourages us to shift our focus from worry to seeking God’s kingdom and righteousness, promising that our needs will be met as a result. It’s a call to trust in God’s provision and care, reassured that He knows what we need even before we ask.

Philippians 4:6-7 further reinforces this message, urging us not to be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, to present our requests to God. The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
