We can’t underrate the grace of God in our life/family. His grace abounds in every area of our lives. The high point of His grace and wonders was how the ALMIGHTY GOD delivered our son from a genetic disease that could have aborted his journey to this world. In recent times, the field of medicine has advanced to the level that you can’t second-guess findings without possessing an unwavering faith in God. Prenatal findings in first trimester of my pregnancy revealed a genetic disease with a medical recommendation to terminate the fetus. My husband and I were told the nature of the disease and the likelihood of our baby not living more than two months after birth. However, we summoned our faith in the Lord and agreed to keep the pregnancy; believing that the child is a gift and every good gift comes from God (James 1:17).
We informed the Pastors about the medical diagnosis and they further encouraged our faith and prayed along with us. The fetus grew and was delivered safely at 9 months. Newborn screening tests were carried out on our baby to determine his health and medical status. To the Glory of God and shame of the devil, the grace of God reversed the diagnosed genetic disease found earlier in pregnancy. Our son is more than three months old today and he is healthier than ever. He doesn’t have any genetic defect or any other disease.
Brethren, we urge you to upgrade your faith in God and believe in His sufficient grace in your life. Faithful is He that called us and He is going to do it, because there is nothing too hard for Him to do (Genesis 18:4). Great is thy “FAITHFULNESS”! (Lamentation 3:23)

I sought prayers from the Pastor before setting out for an important family celebration out of state. He prayed not only for my household but also for journey mercies in general; and for the celebrant in particular. However, on the eve of the party, I received an SOS call that the chief-celebrant had suddenly been rushed to the hospital; and sadly, she was scheduled for an emergency surgery on the day of the party.
There was panic in the air and I doubted whether the long-planned family celebration would still hold. I hesitated to call my Pastor especially since I knew that although I was out of state, he was likely to rush to my side that night despite being more than 3 hours away. However, I was praying along and believing God for His divine intervention. Amazingly, the Pastor called amid the tumult, to ask after our celebration; only for him to learn of the new development. “What?”, he queried, while I could sense over the phone as he commanded: “Bring me the Ephod”. And as he began to spit fire from above in the face of the devil, lo and behold, in a dramatic turn of events, power changed hands, and the Lord proved His sovereignty in the situation. Not only was the surgery successful, the family party was held as planned amid pomp and pageantry. The chief-celebrant left the hospital that same day and was able to attend the event. I give God the glory for answered prayers on this wonderful miracle. Hallelujah! Hallelujah!! Hallelujah!!!
